Fill-the-Teams Registration
|
The Fill-the-Teams Registration date is set for
This registration varies from earlier sessions in that it is first-come, first-served. Once the teams fill for a
given age, registration stops for that division. Thus, there is no guaranteed placement. Also, registration
costs increase $5 per child.

Coach Meeting
|
The coaches meeting will be on Saturday, March 17 from 9 to 10:30 am. It will be held at Vista Grande
Community Center (directions). We will be passing out coach packets, assigning practice times and
disseminating general info about the new season.

|
Coach training will immediately follow the coach meeting for all new and advancing coaches.

Regional Referee Training @ Los Vecinos C.C.
- Saturday March 31, 2012: 9 am - 5 pm

Field Lining
|
Field lining will occur on Saturday, April 7 starting at 8:30 am at Los Vecinos and Roosevelt Middle
School and then proceeding to the new Edgewood fields when Los Vecinos and Roosevelt Middle School
are finished. Lunch will be provided for volunteers.
Field lining involves measuring and staking out the new fields, followed by painting the lines. We will also
be sorting through the sheds and organizing equipment. Whether you are an old hand or a rookie, there is
something you can do to help prepare for the start of the season.

First Practice and Game of the Spring Season
|
U5 and U6 teams practice immediately prior to the game. There is no mid-week practice.
For U8 and older, the first week of practice will occur the week of the March 26. If your (U8 and older
child) does not hear from his or her coach by March 26, contact the league and we can put you in contact
with the coach.
The first games of the spring season will be on Saturday, April 14.

Rules of the Pitch
|
|
|
Please remember that dogs ARE NOT allowed on the soccer fields for
practice or games. Also NO smoking on the fields, you must go to the parking
lot to light up. Not only is the second hand smoke an issue, but some of our
soccer players have asthma and are put at a higher risk by the inhaled smoke.

Board Meetings
|
EMSL Board meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of every month. Everyone involved in the league is
encouraged to come. The meetings are held at Los Vecinos Community Center in Tijeras from 6:30-8:00
